Christopher B. Yahn

Christopher B. Yahn, 67, of Northview Estates in Ellwood City, passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 15, 1953, in Ellwood City, and was the son of the late Franklin and Cleo Caldwell Yahn.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1971 and Westminster College in 1975. He also studied at Penn State Beaver Campus, the Community College of Beaver County and Slippery Rock University.

He was employed at the Ellwood City Area School District for 42 years, most recently in the business office as the accounts receivable clerk. For 10 years, he taught General Educational Development classes for the Midwestern Intermediate Unit and the Community College of Beaver County.

He is survived by many friends and cousins, including Maggie Jennings, Anne Dawson, Barbara Mannarino and Marsha Trapold.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a dear cousin, Mary Dawson, and a special friend, Kathryn Rossi.

YAHN — Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services for Christopher B. Yahn, who died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph A. Tomon Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, Pa.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ellwood City Library, the Lincoln High School Library or the Westminster College Scholarship Fund in New Wilmington, Pa.
