Man dies in 1-car crash in Armstrong County
NORTH BUFFALO TWP, Armstrong County — A 25-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning when his car slammed into a utility pole on Ford City Road, authorities said.
Ronald C. Heuston Jr. of New Kensington was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 1:45 a.m.
State police said Heuston was traveling south when he lost control of his 2007 Hyundai Elantra near Falsetti’s Villa Restaurant. The car hit the pole and trees before landing on its roof.
Heuston was dead in the vehicle when officers found the wreckage, according to a police report. He was not wearing a seat belt.
He died of head and neck injuries, according to the Armstrong County Coroner’s office. There was no autopsy, and toxicology reports are pending
The Ford Cliff and Ford City volunteer fire departments, North Buffalo Township police, and the Ford City Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
Heuston worked in the dietary department at UPMC Shadyside hospital in Pittsburgh. The Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning is handing funeral services.
