Blaine S. Grantz
Blaine S. Grantz, 82, of Gilpin Township, Armstrong County, died Saturday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights.
Born Dec. 10, 1927, in Logansport, Armstrong County, he was the son of Roy and Ruby (Hinderlighter) Grantz.
He lived in Gilpin Township most of his life and retired in 2008 from Beck-n-Russ Trucking, Kittanning, where he was a truck driver for many years.
Mr. Grantz was an Army veteran of World War II.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Grantz, and a sister, Rose Boyd.
He is survived by a special friend, Joann Snodgrass of Butler; two sons, Jim (Karen) Grantz of Allegheny Township and John (Rhonda) Grantz of Avonmore; a daughter, Susan Grantz of Mount Pleasant; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and four sisters, Dorothy Bonner of Leechburg, Helen Shaner of Apollo, Carmen Matthews of Gilpin Township and Jane (John) Mattu of Freeport.

Grantz, who died Saturday, March 20, 2010, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the <B>CURRAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES</B>, 300 Market St., Leechburg.
