Cranberry Twp. woman accused of welfare fraud
A Cranberry Township woman is accused of felony and misdemeanor welfare fraud for falsely claiming nearly $5,000 in public assistance.
The state Inspector General's Office charged 38-year-old Amanda Lee Boyd earlier this month with fraudulently collecting $4,137.40 in Medical Assistance Program benefits and $625 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, formerly known as food stamps.
