7:29 p.m. Saturday — Two Butler men are accused of squaring off in a drunken fight at West New Castle and Broad streets. David Glenn Anderson, 68, allegedly pulled a folding knife on the other suspect, 43-year-old Eric S. Hathaway, according to a police report. No one was hurt.Police cited both men for public drunkenness. Anderson also is charged with disorderly conduct.Saturday — Police charged a Penn Township man and a Gibsonia woman in connection with the theft of several rings April 25 from a First Street home.Jesse J. Almendariz Jr., 24, allegedly took four rings from the home of Anthony and Aimee Kelly. Almendariz and Charleen R. McConnell, 19, later sold at least two of the rings at a Butler jewelry store, a police report said.Anthony Kelly told police he had allowed the suspects to stay at his home overnight. Kelly said he left the house the next morning and when he returned Almendariz and McConnell were gone.Later, Kelly found the rings and a gold rope chain were gone, too, and reported the theft to police May 3.Both defendants are charged with receiving stolen property, conspiracy and theft be deception. Almendariz, who allegedly admitted stealing the rings, is also charged with theft by unlawful taking.

2:05 a.m. Sunday — Ryan Mazzanti, 29, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at South Monroe and East Cunningham streets in Butler.12:35 a.m. Sunday — Two Florida men were arrested on felony warrants issued out of their home state, following a drunken driving traffic stop on Route 228 in Middlesex Township. Michael A. Tatum, 33, and Ryan P. Hatch, 33, both of Branford were arraigned on charges stemming from their warrants. Tatum also is accused of DUI.Sunday — A weekend sobriety checkpoint on Route 8 in Middlesex Township netted six arrests for DUI. In all, 66 vehicles were stopped during the detail Saturday night to Sunday morning.4:35 p.m. Friday — A van driven by Melissa K. Rager, 40, of Harrisville and a car driven by Matthew M. Hensel, 20, of Butler collided at Kiester Road and Wood Lane in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Rager was cited for an improper left turn.Thursday — Two charcoal grills owned by Fairview Township were stolen between April 23 and Thursday from the township building on Hooker Road. The black metal grills are valued at $250 each.5:55 p.m. April 30 — Thomas E. Renforth, 57, of Renfrew was hurt when the vehicle he was driving struck the rear of a car at Route 68 and Old Route 68 in Forward Township. Police said Renforth, who was who taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with minor injuries, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Stacy J. Weber, 40, of Connoquenessing was the other driver.

Sunday — A vehicle driven by Melvin Morgan, 57, of Joshua, Texas, crashed into several trees along Interstate 80 in Barkeyville. Police said Morgan faces a ticket for an undisclosed traffic violation.

1:35 a.m. Saturday — Erin R. Donahue, 27, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Freeport Road and Route 68 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.9:40 a.m. Thursday — Raymond Finger, 45, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car struck a utility pole along Route 66 near Falcon Park in Manor Township. Finger suffered minor injuries.

9:50 p.m. Sunday—A 14-year-old boy detainee at George Junior Republic stole the keys to an employee's 2007 Chevrolet HHR and drove away from the Pine Township juvenile detention facility.
