U.S. Rep.
Kathy Dahlkemper, D-3rd, this week named
Amy Cuzzola-Kern as her economic recovery director.Cuzzola-Kern will act as the point person for constituents with questions about the federal stimulus package. The idea for the director's post, she said, is to coordinate information sharing about the stimulus monies received in the 3rd District as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signed into law by
President Obama on Feb. 17.Dahlkemper has expanded Amy Cuzzola-Kern's responsibilities to assist local governments and constituents with the Recovery Act.Cuzzola-Kern will be the first point of contact for public and private officials and constituents interested in learning more about the benefits of the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act."Key to this act is the transparency that we have promised the American people," Dahlkemper said. "Right now, a constituent can learn more about how money is being spent by logging onto www.recovery.gov."This is not enough. I wanted to ensure that we helped the public and private sector navigate the waters and take maximum advantage of every opportunity the Recovery Act offers."Cuzzola-Kern holds a doctoral degree in social welfare policy from Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University and more than a decade of experience working with the social services and nonprofit community.Contact Cuzzola-Kern at 1-877-528-4948 or via e-mail: amy.cuzzolakern@mail.house.gov.———State Sen.
