Moran's 4 goals lead Golden Tornado past Rams

Butler's Doug Moran scored all four goals as the Butler boys soccer team dispatched Pine-Richland 4-1 Thursday.

Ben Horner had three assists and Jack Peluso-Hoffman had one assist for the Golden Tornado (6-0, 2-0), which will host North Hills on Saturday.

Slippery Rock 3, Commodore Perry 0 — Craig Bicehouse, Ryan Gercken and Ty Mohler each recorded a goal while Gercken had two assists and Michael Ramirez added another for the Rockets (4-0), who will play at Wilmington Monday.

Amy Achesinski had 10 kills and Becky Smith had seven kills and four blocks to lead Butler to a 25-18, 25-12, 25-17 sweep over the Talbots.Ashley Grenet added six kills and five digs for the Golden Tornado (2-2), which will compete in the Upper St. Clair Tournament Saturday.<B>Knoch 3, Oakland Catholic 0 — </B>Kirsten Brant had 12 service aces and seven assists, and Leanne Wiefling had six kills and 10 assists to power the Knights to a 25-17, 25-9, 25-17 win.Sara Montgomery added seven kills and Zoe Hughes had seven kills and 10 service points for Knoch (6-0, 3-0).<B>Keystone 3, A-C Valley 0 — </B>The Panthers swept the Falcons 25-14, 25-8, 25-21 in KSAC action.
