Person wounded at Clearview Mall

CENTER TWP — State police responded Tuesday evening to a report of someone with a gunshot wound to the head and side in the parking lot near Rural King at the Clearview Mall.

A medical helicopter, which landed in the parking lot, reportedly transported one person to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, according to scanner reports from the county emergency dispatch center.

Another person was observed being taken by ambulance for medical treatment.

The public is not in danger in relation to this incident, state police said around 7:15 p.m.

Police and emergency responders were dispatched a little before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the dispatch center.

The helicopter was requested around 6:40 p.m.

Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Butler Ambulance Service were among those that responded to the scene.

State police said updates about the incident will follow as the investigation continues.
