No injuries were reported in a school bus crash this morning in Middlesex Township, authorities said.

There were an unknown number of elementary school students on the A.J. Myers and Sons bus about 8:20 a.m. when the driver struck a ditch while traveling in a construction zone in the 400 block of West Cruikshank Road, according to a Mars School District official.

Middlesex Township police were called but they were not available for comment. Volunteer firefighters from Middlesex and Penn townships and an ambulance crew from Quality EMS assisted police.

School officials also showed up to talk with the driver and students, in keeping with district protocol following an accident.
