Derek Sadowski struck out 13 and did not walk a batter in five innings of work as Karns City's baseball team downed host North Clarion 2-0 Tuesday afternoon.

The Gremlins (2-1) scored both runs in the top of the sixth as Nathan Weckerly drew a bases-loaded walk and Scott Kiser drove in a run on a groundout.

Butler's Cole Chamberlain had 17 assists and Xavier Krause added 14 kills as the Golden Tornado swept Pine-Richland by scores of 25-11, 25-20 and 25-11.Steve Stauffer contributed eight assists to the victory, which came a night after Butler dropped a 3-0 decision at North Allegheny.Krause tallied 16 kills in that defeat.Butler's junior varsity squad beat NA and Pine-Richland, both by a score of 2-0.Seneca Valley 3, North Hills 0 — Chad Albert had 14 kills, Brian Pudlo 11 and Tim Pecora added three aces as the Raiders prevailed 25-11, 25-5, 25-9.
