German firm breaks ground for new plant
ADAMS TWP — Today’s groundbreaking for a German manufacturing facility on Myoma Road brought company, state and county officials out to praise the project.
IMS Measuring Systems is building the first plant to manufacture its high-tech thickness-detection gauges outside of Germany, where the company is headquartered.
The 9,500 square-foot, $3.5 million manufacturing facility will be adjacent to IMS’s North American Headquarters on Myoma Road, which was completed in December 2008 and employs 15 people.
