Mega Truck Stop closer to building in Muddy Creek
MUDDY CREEK TWP — The Mega Truck Stop is inching closer to getting approval to begin construction in Muddy Creek Township.
While the township still awaits the submission of a developer's agreement, the supervisors acknowledged a revised construction plan submitted to the township's planning commission, which includes a crosswalk and crosswalk signs at the intersection of Currie Road, where the business will be constructed.
PennDOT also approved the plan, and the supervisors confirmed the Mega Truck Stop would foot the bills associated with street and maintenance costs.
“Any cost incurred will be submitted to us from PennDOT,” said vice chairman supervisor Rick Saunders. “We'll send it to Mega Truck Stop, and they'll pay us.”
The Mega Truck Stop is planned to have multiple restaurants, a gas station and a convenience store. The supervisors said during an April meeting that they wanted a crosswalk included in the plan because of the business' proximity to the campgrounds at Cooper's Lake.
