Spacemobile visits Emily Brittain
Fifth and sixth grade students at Emily Brittain School attended a space science lecture demonstration March 23, 1964, presented by the National Aeronautics and Space Aeronautics and Space Administration. Explaining the Tiros weather satellite to sixth graders Todd Brookhart, second from left, and David Lipsky were John R. Bannister, far left, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Robert P. Perry of Athens, W.Va. The speakers demonstrated authentic models of space crafts, explained space exploration and discussed activities of NASA. The equipment used in the demonstration was transported in NASA Spacemobile trucks, which operated throughout the United States and overseas.
