Nutritional Holiday
In March of 1985, second graders at Haine Elementary School in Cranberry Township combined the study of nutrition with St. Patrick’s Day to cook up a Think Green Feast. From left, Kristy Knichel, Christina Trudeau, Jason Burkert and Jennifer Mastilak whip up a dish of green eggs and ham a la Dr. Suess. The dish was prepared with the help of teachers Marilane O. Foley and Mary Estep and Dr. Seuss’s book Green Eggs and Ham.
