Esther M. Cochran
Esther M. Cochran, 73, of Butler passed away on Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 9, 1944, in New Brighton, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Harrison Hoey and the late Jane E. McDermott Hoey.
Esther was a co-owner at Dave Cochran Auto Body.
She was a member at Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Esther was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a member of the Country Music Dance Club.
She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her husband, David, whom she married on Nov. 22, 1980; three daughters, Kimberly Christie of Butler, Cheryl Gilliland of Butler, and Michele (Edward) Bowman of Butler; one stepson, Eric (Amber) Cochran of Bluffton, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Matthew Gilliland, Tyler Pesci, Kaitlyn Pesci, Adyson Bowman, Ryleigh Cochran, Ashleigh Cochran and Rachel Stahl; one sister, Lois (Bill) Craft of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, Harrison (Carole) Hoey II of Columbia, S.C.; one dog, Beloved Coco; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Christie; and one sister, Carol Tueton.

COCHRAN — Friends of Esther M. Cochran, who died Monday, July 2, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Tara R.
