SV student will be on Leno tonight
JACKSON TWP — A Seneca Valley sophomore will be featured tonight on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, showcasing a rare talent.
Jonathan Dorogy can clap 12 times per second.
At 16 years of age, he's the youngest person to ever accomplish that feat, and the producers of the show have taken notice, according to school district spokeswoman Linda Andreassi.
Dorogy and his family flew to Los Angeles on Thursday for this evening's taping, Andreassi said. He will appear in a segment titled "Meal or No Meal." There he will demonstrate his "hobby" as the second fastest speed clapper in the world.
The show airs at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
This is Dorogy's second time appearing on television, Andreassi said. He was recently featured on SVTV's morning announcements' show, "Seneca Says."
