Charles and Laura Duffy

Charles and Laura Duffy of Sarver will celebrate 65 years of marriage Wednesday.

The former Laura Stahl married Duffy Oct. 18, 1941, in Wellsburg, W.Va.

They have six children, Gary Duffy of Pray, Mont.; Linda Rukavina of New Kensington; Cathy Haller of Land-O-Lakes, Fla.; Connie Neubert of Sarver; Patricia Steigerwald of Wilmington, N.C.; and Michael Duffy of Hopewell, N.J. Another son, Jim Duffy, is deceased.

They also have 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Duffy is a retired farmer and welder. He is a founding member of the Saxonburg VFW and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.

Mrs. Duffy is a homemaker. She belongs to First Baptist Church of Upper Burrell and the Christian Woman's Club.
