Severe thunderstorm warning issued for southwestern Butler County
The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh placed southwestern Butler County in a severe thunderstorm warning around 12:45 p.m. Monday.
According to a report released by the service, a severe thunderstorm was located near Evans City that could impact areas of Meridian, Nixon, Oak Hills and Connoquenessing.
Hazardous conditions could include wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
The warning is in effect until at least 1 p.m.
