The Associated Artists of Butler County will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

The day will include demonstrations of local artists' skills and talents.

Demonstrations will include oil painting, the pottery wheel, and sculpting with mud.

Visitors can make an acrylic mini painting.

The schedule will be:

- Macrame class with Kaity Perrine- Wheel throwing demo with Christy Culp- Oil painting demo with Steve Haley- Mud Sculpting demo with Faith Stoughton- Acrylic mini-painting — make your own — with Shirley McCauley.

The Butler Art Center plans to be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 28 for Small Business Saturday.Local businesses and some artists will be there to share information about their small businesses.Visitors Nov. 28 will be able to make their own ceramic ugly sweater Christmas ornament for a donation.

The annual Holiday Show & Sale at the art center will run from Dec. 4 through Jan. 8.A reception is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4.All art media and crafts are welcome to enter the show.
