Air Force Chief Master Sgt. John Cummings retired after serving 28 years.

Cummings last served as squadron superintendent with the 22nd Maintenance Squadron, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan.

He is the son of Mary Cummings and brother of Ann Kinzler of Mars.

Cummings is a 1982 graduate of North Allegheny Senior High School. He earned an associate degree in 1994 from Community College of the Air Force, Montgomery, Ala.
