Gremlins girls net a shutout
Four of Karns City's five seniors scored on Senior Night as the Gremlins shut out East Forest, 8-0, in girls soccer Tuesday.
Brittni Grenninger had three goals and three assists to lead Karns City (13-3), which also received goals from seniors Brittany Green, Jessica Smith, Amanda Double and Lauren McGarvey. Julieanne Scott added a goal and Green an assist.
Karns City hosts Clearfield at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Seneca Valley 4, North Hills 1 -Ryan Elser scored two goals for the Raiders (9-5-1, 7-4) while Zach Nichols and Justin Pacyna added a goal each.Seneca Valley plays at Butler Thursday.Slippery Rock 3, Grove City 0 -Ryan Zarichnak scored two goals for the Rockets and Euna Jeon added one. Karns City 3, Venango Catholic 1 -Laura Kepple and Haley Callihan both played well in the win for the Gremlins (2-7).
