“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6

So many people looking for direction these days. Many church leaders and government leaders are looking for guidance on the right way to go.

My family and I used to live near the Delorme Map Company in Yarmouth, Maine. It was a fantastic place to visit.

They have the largest globe in the world in their visitor center. It is huge and impressive. They were so proud of that gigantic globe. It was a very popular place in the state.

Maps are important when you do not know where you are going. When we lived in Maine, the idea of a GPS was very new, and few people knew what a GPS was. We have moved so far from the old paper maps — remember those ones that no one could fold — to just getting in your car and opening your GPS app on your phone.

It can take you anywhere in the world. It will tell you what the best route is and how long it will take you using that route. I have learned to trust my GPS map on my phone so much that I have a tough time remembering the best way to get anywhere. Wherever I go, the first thing I do is get in the car and open the app for the best directions.

God tells us that He knows what is best for us and how we can be the best we can be. He does not want us to struggle with finding our own way.

In these verses from the Book of Proverbs, Solomon says that we should trust in the Lord and not lean on our own understanding. We ought to trust God for direction and leadership.

During these days of the COVID-19 epidemic, we need to turn our heads toward God's direction. God tells us that, if we really trust His direction, He will lead us in the way we should go.

Who are you trusting these days? Maybe you have lost your job, or one of your family is sick and needs help.

It could be that your life just feels upside-down.

It might be that you are down to the last few dollars and need God's help.

God promises that, if we trust Him, He will show us the right way for us to go.

Faith over fear. Trust God. Don't put your faith in any person.

Friends, family, doctors and government officials are important, but God always has the answer.

He formed you and knows you better than you know yourself.

Lean on His understanding. He will never leave you on this journey.
