2:39 a.m. Saturday — Alison Walchesky, 21, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after her car struck a vehicle parked on East Jefferson Street. Edward Miller, 56, of Butler owns the vehicle struck in the crash.
1:38 a.m. Monday — Harry Goldinger, 30, of Clay Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car hit a utility pole along Route 138 in Washington Township.The car, after shearing off the pole, rolled over and traveled another 100 feet. Downed electrical lines forced police to close the road for about 3 hours. Goldinger, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor cuts and bruises.Police said in addition to DUI, Goldinger faces traffic charges for careless driving, driving too fast for conditions and a lane violation.9:40 a.m. Sunday — Apickup truck driven by Charles Brown, no age given, of Greenville, Mercer County, hit an embankment and crashed on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.2:23 a.m. Sunday — Jeffery Oviatt, 47, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8, north of Route 138 in Clay Township.Sunday — Ariding mower, push mower, trailer, picnic table and aluminum ladder were taken between Friday and Sunday from the Weaver Lane home of Barry Brady in Slippery Rock Township.6:04 p.m. Saturday — Apickup truck driven by Aaron Bergbigler, 37, of Butler hit an embankment and crashed on Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township.Police said Bergbigler had left the crash site before police arrived. He was later cited for careless driving abandonment of vehicles and failure to notify police of an accident.11:45 p.m. Friday — Troy Dupe, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car hit a guardrail on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. Dupe and David Baker, 43, of Sarver, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries; neither was wearing a seat belt.8:30 p.m. Friday — Anthony Bartley, 37, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 308 and Henricks Road in Center Township.7:30 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Linda Souzer, 49, of Butler Township struck a deer on Route 8 near Glenwood Way in Center Township. Francis Uram, 74, of Center Township, a passenger in the car wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Thursday — Home improvement equipment was taken between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday in a burglary at a North Duffy Road house in Center Township.Police said taken from the home, being remodeled by William Gold and Jaloyn Fockler, both of Butler, was a paint sprayer, flooring stapler, pressure washer and compound miter saw.12:55 p.m. March 11—Deborah Hutchison, no age given, of Hillliards was seriously injured when the motorcycle she was driving hit a guardrail on Route 308 in Cherry Township.Hutchison, who was wearing a helmet, was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said she suffered a severe injury to her right foot. Her condition was not known this morning.
10 p.m. March 12 — Brandie Quick, 25, of Wallaceton, Clearfield County, was arrested for driving under the influence on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. She was also cited for speeding.
10:08 a.m. Sunday — Police were called to the scene of a hit-and-run accident in front of the 7-Eleven store. Darla Steigerwald, 36, of Fombell, Beaver County, was traveling on West Beaver Street when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle that police said had run the red light and then left the scene. Several witnesses described the driver as a white male, possibly in his 30s, with short brown hair. Police have a suspect and are still investigating.4:15 a.m. Thursday — While on patrol, police discovered a light pole that had been damaged, apparently by a vehicle, on Main Street in Harmony. Remnants of the light police were lying in the grassy area.8:27 a.m. March 13 — Shawn Dabraualskas of 243 Arthur St. reported that someone broke into his vehicle near his resident and took CDs valued at $100.6:11 p.m. March 13 — John Grable of 103 McKim St. reported that someone broke into his vehicle behind his residence and took 12 CDs and a case valued at $150.3:37 p.m. March 12 — Timothy Shelenberger of 110B McKim St. reported that someone broke into his car parked at the rear of his residence and took two tennis rackets valued at $90. The thieves were unsuccessful at stealing a CD changer.1:20 p.m. March 7 — Robert Good of 204 N. Main St. reported someone used a key to scratch the paint on his vehicle's hood and door outside of his residence.
