Alleged drug traffickers rounded up

Members of the Butler County’s drug task force Monday rounded up seven suspected dealers in Butler and Butler Township.

But the blitz isn’t over, authorities said, as warrants have yet to be served on six other alleged traffickers.

“These are all street dealers,” said Pat Cannon, the county’s chief detective who heads the task force. “They aren’t major dealers but you have to keep these people off the streets.”

The suspects are accused of dealing crack cocaine, heroin, prescription painkillers and Suboxone that is used to treat heroin addiction.

They face felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned these defendants who were picked up Monday.

• James Caccamo, 53, and his wife, Linda Caccamo, 46, both of Butler, who are suspected in three alleged drug deals.

Investigators said on April 6, James Caccamo used a phone to set up a drug deal. Linda Caccamo later drove her vehicle to Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora. James Caccamo, who was a passenger, sold three OxyContin tablets to a police informant for $60.

On May 10, according to court documents, James Caccamo set up another deal. A police informant and undercover officer went to the couple’s home on South Monroe Street. There they bought three OxyContin tablets for $60.

•Jennifer Davidson, 33, of Clay Township allegedly sold two stamp bags of heroin to a police informant for $40 on Feb. 14 on West New Castle Street. That happened within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

• Jessica M. Miller, 29, of Butler, is suspected in two drug cases along with her live-in boyfriend, Karl D. Jageman, documents said.

On Feb. 24, Miller used a phone to set up an alleged drug deal. A police informant and undercover officer met Miller at her home. The three then went to the 500 block of West New Castle Street where they met Jageman, who sold nine methadone tablets for $50, documents said.

On March 6, Jageman used a phone to set up another drug deal. A police informant and undercover officer met at the couple’s home, where Miller allegedly sold five Suboxone tablets for $50.
