Marjorie Victoria Duffy Smith
Marjorie Victoria Duffy Smith, 84, of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ohio.
She was born on March 15, 1930, to the late Orton Detmer Duffy Sr. and Hazel Irene Pennington Duffy of Butler County.
While attending Butler High School, she became a model for Paul Wolfe Studios. Marge was employed by Patton's Sparkle Market for more than 30 years and also worked at the well-known Harold's Ice Cream Parlor.
She was a Protestant and was an avid reader who enjoyed boating and fishing.
She is survived by her two sons, Raymond Howard (Beth) Smith of Struthers, Ohio, and Roger Alan (Melanie) Smith of Hubbard, Ohio; her five grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren.
Marge also leaves her brother, Tom (Ruth) Duffy of Oviedo, Fla., and her three sisters, Jean Rock of Ann Arbor, Mich., Mary Ann (Ellis) Lee of Surprise, Ariz., and Betty Lou Eonta of Oviedo, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Clyde Smith, who died on April 17, 2004; her two brothers, Glenn Earl Duffy and Orton “Danny” Duffy Jr.; and her three sisters, Alberta Duffy, Lois Williamson and Eleanor “Mickey” Vavro.
