Marie Hudek

Marie Louise Jurysta Hudek, 76, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at her residence.

Born in Butler on Aug. 26, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Myrtle Lenhart Jurysta.

Marie, who had a passion for food, was the owner/operator of two former Butler restaurants, The Bagel Hut and City Subs. She earned her certification in hospitality management from Butler County Community College.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

She belonged to the former Downtown Business Association. She also was a member of the Associated Artists of Butler County. She also was a longtime active member of the Tanglewood Center and St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers.

Marie is survived by one daughter, Dhana LeFevre of Butler; two grandchildren, Chloe Mellinger of Butler and Michael LeFevre of Butler; two sisters, Delores Fetterman of Butler and Helen Jurysta of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Jurysta; and three sisters, Debra Moore, and twins Joyce Rich and Judy Isaac.

HUDEK — Friends of Marie Louise Jurysta Hudek, who died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, will be received from 10 a.m. until noon at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

A blessing service will follow at noon at the funeral home with Deacon Mitch Natali officiating.

Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Avenue, Lyndora, PA 16045.
