1 to 2 inches of snow expected in Butler County Friday
Butler County should see a brief snowfall heading into weekend thaw, according to meteorologists.
Meteorologist Mike Kennedy of the National Weather Service of Pittsburgh said Butler County could see temperatures as high as the 50s on Sunday.
“We'll see that warming trend continuing into the weekend,” Kennedy said.
But before the temperate relief, winter has one more blast on its way, according to Kennedy.
“We have a fast moving system that is going to clip Butler early (Friday) morning, and any accumulation should be early before sunrise,” he said.
Kennedy said despite the snowfall, temperatures should have already been on the rise Thursday night to meet Sunday's expectations.
“For Butler, accumulations should be relatively light, like 1 to 2 inches,” Kennedy said. He predicted highs Friday in the 20s.
