Amy J. Foust
Amy J. Foust, 49, of East Brady went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday at the Chicora Medical Center after a long battle with brain cancer.
Born Sept. 21, 1961, in Butler, she was the daughter of Norman L. Foust Jr. and Loretta J. (Reitz) Weitzel.
She was a 1979 graduate of East Brady High School, and while in high school, she played softball and basketball and was the only girl on the golf team. She was a high honor student.
She attended Clarion University and graduated in 1988 from Butler County Community College with an associate degree in science.
Amy enjoyed fishing, painting, art, friends, horses and her dogs, Fred, Poochie and Pearl. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are her father, Norman L. Foust Jr. and his wife, Eileen, of Savannah, Ga.; her mother, Loretta J. Weitzel and her husband, Terry, of East Brady; siblings, Norman L. Foust III and his wife, Cindy, of Petaluma, Calif., Holly Reedy and her husband, Scott, of East Brady, Shana Stevens and her husband, John, of Rimersburg; Kristy Foust of Savannah, Tim Foust of Savannah, Jeff Foust of Savannah and Stephen Foust of Savannah; and her grandmother, Estella Reitz of the Chicora Medical Center. Also surviving are three nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Norman and Irene Foust; and her maternal, grandfather, Ellis Reitz.
<B>FOUST </B>— Friends of Amy J. Foust, who died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Patricia Sawaya, chaplain of the Chicora Medical Center, officiating. Private burial will be at the Rimersburg Cemetery.
