Raymond Rogan Sr.
Raymond “Ray” Albert Rogan Sr., 82, of Kingston, Okla., passed away Thursday at the Marshall County Medical Center in Madill, Okla.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1932, to the late Vincent Albert Rogan and Leona Fern McKinney Rogan of Ellwood City. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City in 1951 and joined the U.S. Navy in August of that year. He served four years on a destroyer during the Korean War as a boiler tender.
He married the love of his life, Leah Rae Strouse Rogan, on Jan. 28, 1954, in Cumberland, Md. He enjoyed archery and competed in many tournaments, working on cars, walks on the beach and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He retired from Herr Voss Corp. of Callery in 1997.
It's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.
He is survived by his wife, Leah Rae Rogan of Kingston, Okla.; his children, Lori Littrell and her husband, Mark, of Oklahoma, Raymond “Butch” Rogan and his wife, Crystal, of Florida, Sara Bender and her husband, Scott, of Florida and Sharon Jordan and her husband, John, of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Paul, Travers, Tabian, Bethany, Patrick, Kalie and Karlee; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sally Louise Beachem of Pennsylvania.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles, Harold and Robert; and three sisters, Ethel Mae, Anna “Sis” and Leona “Winnie,” all of Pennsylvania.
