Amy S. Shimrack
Amy S. Shimrack, 48, of Beaver, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, in Bethesda, Md., after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
She was born on June 1, 1973, in Butler, to Joseph McClaine and Sue Angert.
Amy worked as a nursing aide at The Grove at Harmony for almost two decades.
She loved movies, trips and traveling. Amy enjoyed watching football, and was a fan of the Pitt Panthers.
She was known for her smile, work ethic and personality.
She was the beloved wife of Tom E. Shimrack since June 2016.
Amy is also survived by her sister, Renee Miller; her nephew, Jeremy Miller; her great-nephews, Teagan and Tony; her mother-in-law, Patricia Shimrack; her brothers-in-law, Rob and Bear; and her fur babies, Duke, Garfield, Andy and Baby Boots.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Azelyn; her special aunt, Norma Jean “Mutzie” Heasley; and her father-in-law, Red Shimrack.

SHIMRACK — The funeral for Amy S. Shimrack, who died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, was held privately at First Baptist Church of New Castle.
She was laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Freedom.
