Man charged with stealing woman's phone, sharing naked photo
A Wampum man stole a woman's phone, bypassed its security and distributed a nude photo she had saved to the device, according to an affidavit related to his Friday arrest.
Phone records connected Stephen Allen Dayton, 31, to odd text messages containing images of himself and a woman whose phone went missing in July.
Middlesex Township Police Officer Bryan Costanzo said Friday that investigators believe Dayton stole the woman's phone at an Arby's restaurant in Butler.
Police first became aware of the situation when a friend of the woman reported receiving a nude photo of the woman from an unknown number.
Dayton faces charges of harassment and distribution of obscene materials.
Costanzo said further charges may be pending related to the incident.
