One injured in Main Street wreck
One person was injured in a crash on South Main Street, Butler, shortly before noon Wednesday.
Butler police said an unidentified woman ran through a red light and collided with another vehicle. The incident occurred around 11:50 a.m., according to Butler County 911 dispatch information.
The woman, driving a Buick Encore SUV, ran a light at the intersection of South Main and West Diamond streets and hit another woman driving a Grand Cherokee SUV, police said.
The Encore hit the driver side of the Grand Cherokee near the front.
Butler City Fire Department tended to the injured woman until EMTs arrived. The responders stabilized the neck of the Grand Cherokee driver and sent her by ambulance to a local hospital.
The Encore was able to be driven away from the scene.
