Wolf signs bill raises age of tobacco use to 21, lifts Sunday hunting ban
Gov. Tom Wolf signed more than 20 bills on Wednesday, including one that raises the age of tobacco use to 21 years of age or older.
Wolf signed both the House and Senate components to the bill, which amends tobacco laws to prohibit the sale of any tobacco, nicotine or related item to anyone under 21 years of age.
The legislation also expanded its definition of tabocco products to include e-cigarettes and vaping products.
“Raising the age to 21 in combination with barring e-cigarettes at our schools will help us prevent young Pennsylvanians from engaging in this dangerous behavior,” Wolf said.
Also part of Wolf's signing was a Senate Bill that lifts prohibition of hunting for three Sundays each year.
The law will open hunting for one Sunday in deer rifle season, one in deer archery season and one at the discretion of the state's Game Commission.
