Edwin Earl Ross Jr.

Edwin Earl Ross Jr., 55, of Atlanta, formerly of Butler and Sarasota, Fla., died July 30 after a triumph over cancer for 20 years.

Born March 29, 1949, in Grove City, he was the son of Elaine Dean Ross of Sebring, Fla., and the late Earl Ross.

He owned a residential construction company in Sarasota with his brother, Al Ross.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susanna, whom he married in 2002; two daughters, Melissa Ezzell and Elizabeth Ross; a son, Jonathan Ross; two granddaughters; and two stepchildren, Sebastian and Christian Rotsch, all of Atlanta.

- A memorial service for Edwin Earl Ross, who died Friday, July 30, 2004, was Aug. 2 at Intown Community Church, Atlanta. Arrangements were handled by ATLANTA MORTUARY SERVICE and condolences may be expressed at ajc.com/obits.Memorial donations may be made to the Ed Ross Memorial Fund to provide assistance to cancer patients and their families.
