Mark C. Anderson, 56, of Hershey, formerly of Cranberry Township, died July 19.

He was born Oct. 28, 1954, in Pittsburgh, a son of Jane (Carlson) Anderson of St. Cloud, Fla., and the late Robert Anderson.

Mark was employed as a houseparent with the Milton Hershey School. He previously worked for the Cranberry Township Water Authority and was a former Cranberry Township supervisor.

Mark was a 1972 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and was a past member of the Cranberry Jaycees and a past Cub Scout leader.

He also was a past member of the St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, where he was a member of council and assisted with living stations.

Mark was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed cooking, building and crafting as well as photography. However, his greatest passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Judy (Wolford) Anderson; a son, Mark C. Anderson Jr. of Harrisburg; two daughters, Beth Wagner of Elizabethtown and Amy Sukits of Aberdeen, Md.; a sister, Linda Anderson of Kissimmee, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Owen, Josephine and Alaina.
