8 a.m. Monday — Acar driven by Eric Rogers, 19, of Butler struck the rear of a pickup and another car stopped for a red light on Route 8 near Route 308 in Center Township.Rogers' car rolled onto its roof following the collision with the other vehicles, driven by Frank Smith, 61, of North Washington and Alan Milanovich, 58, of Butler.Rogers and Smith, both who were wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries. Rogers was cited for careless driving.12:21 a.m. Monday — Two Pittsburgh men were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop at Route 8 and Howard Street in Butler.Matthew Michael, 19, a passenger in the car, is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was found with more than 3 ounces of suspected marijuana.The car's driver, Douglas McIntyre, 45, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was found with a small amount of heroin. Police also learned McIntyre was wanted in Allegheny County on a warrant for retail theft.Both suspects are in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond each.Monday — Agenerator, sweeper, 22 sheets of plywood, framing guns, staplers, handsaw and boxes of spikes, bits, breakers and hoses were among the items taken between Friday and Monday from a new home construction site on Kaibab Road in Slippery Rock Township.The property, owned by Boy Construction of Boyers, was taken in a burglary at an unlocked building at the site.11:29 a.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Tony Dilliard, 48, of Washington, Pa., struck a bridge abutment on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Dilliard and a passenger, Patricia McKenzie, 21, of Bridgeville, Allegheny County, suffered minor injuries.Sunday — Someone between 2:30 and 3 a.m. smashed a number of mailboxes along Chicora-Fenelton Road in Donegal Township.1:50 p.m. Saturday — Charlotte Wright, 35, of Evans City suffered minor injuries when she swerved her car to miss a deer and struck a tree along West Road in Forward Township.Two passengers in the car, a 13-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both of Evans City, also suffered minor injuries. Police said all three occupants were wearing seat belts.Saturday — An unknown burglar broke into a woman's home at Brady Hill Estates in Brady Township and looked through several clothing dresser drawers; however, nothing was apparently taken in the burglary between 7:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.11 a.m. Thursday — ARed Phantom go-cart valued at $1,400 was stolen in a burglary at the Main Hill Road home of Keith Sherwin in Petrolia.
3 a.m. Saturday — Nicole Brinkley, 26, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Falls and Leesburg Station roads in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
3:15 p.m. Wednesday — James Eric Hart of 127 S. Pittsburgh St. reported someone overnight stole $300 in tools from his Knoechel Heating work truck parked near his residence.5 p.m. Wednesday —- Tracy Devlin of 217 Pennsylvania Ave. reported someone overnight broke into his vehicle and took six compact discs and two portable music players. The items were valued at $60.8:45 a.m. Wednesday —- William L. Bryson, of 217 Terrace Ave., reported 25 compact discs were taken from his vehicle parked in the street near his residence.6:54 a.m. Wednesday —- Daniel Brancher, 20, of 404 Hazel St. reported his 1999 Acura Integra, valued at $10,005 was stolen from in front of his residence. He had parked the vehicle about 12:30 a.m. The vehicle was left unlocked. Brancher told police the keys may have also been left on the seat.9:21 a.m. Aug. 22 — A tractor trailer driven by Glen Walter Adkins, 65, of St. John, Mo., was turning onto West New Castle Street from North Milton Street, and struck and damaged a parked vehicle with the trailer. The vehicle is owned by Charlene Burr of 503 W. New Castle St., Apt. 1.3:47 p.m. Aug. 21 —- Vehicles driven by Kimberly S. Goehring, 23, of Fombell, Beaver County, and Kelly L. Troynar, 40, of Monaca, Beaver County, collided at the intersection of Route 68 and High Street. No injuries were reported.4:50 p.m. Aug. 17 —- Aaron Richard Wollerton, 32, of 207 Hook St., Mars, was traveling on West New Castle Street when he collided with the rear of a motorcycle driven by William E. Throckmorton, 59, of 45 Marion Dr., Zelienople. The motorcyclist had cuts to his arms, but refused being taken for treatment.
