A 29-year-old Butler area man accidentally shot himself in the right thigh early Sunday morning while riding an all-terrain vehicle in Concord Township, state police said.

Andrew T. Semuskie suffered minor injuries when he discharged a 9 mm pistol between 1:30 and 2 a.m. in the 800 block of Seven Hills Road, state police said.

Police said no criminal charges would be filed “due to the accidental nature of the incident.”

A police report provided no other information and did not say if Semuskie received any medical treatment for his injuries.
