Ernie Lee Montgomery

Ernie Lee Montgomery, 59, of Gina Lane, Taylorsville, N.C., died March 11 at the Catawba Valley Medical Center in North Carolina.

He was born Oct. 11, 1950, in Butler County, to the late Ronald Montgomery and Pauline Shoup Montgomery.

Ernie graduated from Moniteau High School in 1969.

He was a truck driver for Star Transport of Morton, Ill. He formerly worked at J.M. Beatty Furniture in Eau Claire as a carpet installer.

He was a Methodist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Gaillot, and an infant sister.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Yvonne Jean Kuzma Montgomery; two daughters, Tammy Montgomery of Clintonville, Pa., and Rhonda Montgomery of Taylorsville, N.C.; three sons, Kirby Montgomery of Franklin, Pa., Jamie Montgomery of Ocean City, Md., and Eric Kuzma of Taylorsville, N.C.; eight sisters, Patricia Knight of St. Petersburg, Pa., Bonnie Kriss of Kennerdell, Pa., Wanda Scott of Dayton, Ohio, Judy Wagner of Butler, Gretchen Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas, Brenda Rowell of Lancaster, S.C., Sharon Kay Duplaga of Bridgeport, Ohio, and Ruby Younker of Ligonier, Pa.; two brothers, Ronald Montgomery of Mayport, Pa., and Richard Montgomery of Clover, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

<B>MONTGOMERY </B>— A graveside service for Ernie Lee Montgomery, who died Thursday, March 11, 2010, was Monday at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, S.C., with the Rev. Jeff Gilfillian officiating.
