Reeder

Russell J. Reeder, 61, of Lake Township, Jackson Center, went home to be with his heavenly father at 3:04 p.m. Monday.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1953, in Grove City to the late William Joseph Reeder and Lydia Lea Cooke Reeder.

He married Abbie J. McGinnis on Aug. 11, 1979.

He was employed by Pittsburgh Glass Works, Meadville, where he was in maintenance for 40 years.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Grove City, where he was a deacon in the church and a greeter at services.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and reading his Bible.

Survivors include his wife, Abbie at home; his three children, Autumn Reeder of Evans City, Shane Reeder of Coraopolis and Shyla Reeder at home; his mother-in-law, Veda M. McGinnis at home; his four sisters, Linda Manross and her husband, Jerry, of Rockland, Diana McKinney and her husband, Gary, of Harrisville, Debbie Hoffman and her husband, Mark, of Harrisville and Amy Bennett and her husband, John Jr., of Harrisville; his brother, John Reeder and his wife, Debra, of Grove City; and his many nieces and nephews.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents.

Reeder— Visitation for Russell J. Reeder, who passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at theCunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Additional visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, 103 Cranberry Road, Grove City, with the Rev. Douglas Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Barkeyville Cemetery, Barkeyville.Memorial contributions in Russell's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 103 Cranberry Road, Grove City, PA 16127.
