Butler Police2:12 a.m. Sunday — Samantha Jo Conner, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she was pulled over for running a stop sign at West Jefferson and Broad streets.An officer smelled a “strong odor” of alcohol on Conner's breath but she denied having anything to drink, according to a police report. A preliminary breath test indicated she had alcohol in her system; however, she later refused to submit another breath sample at the station.Police said that Conner faces charges of DUI, a stop sign violation and driving at an unsafe speed.1:48 a.m. Wednesday — Jacob B. Pflugh, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving on Cunningham Street. Police stopped Pflugh after he did not dim his high beams while waiting at a traffic light at Monroe and East Jefferson streets.The suspect, who police said smelled of alcohol, later failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.241 percent, three times the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.In addition to DUI, Pflugh faces a ticket for improper use of high beams.

Butler Twp Police1:03 a.m. Saturday — Jacob M. Roach, 20, of Pittsburgh was charged with two alcohol-related offenses after a motorist spotted him passed out on the side of Route 8 north at Evans Road. Roach is charged with underage drinking and public drunkenness.5:02 a.m. Friday — A Lyndora couple's fight over a missing razor ended with both being injured and charged with harassment. Timothy Pletcher, 37, and Betty Jo McGinnis, 38, are accused of scrapping with one another during a domestic dispute on Division Street in Lyndora.Police said Pletcher and McGinnis both suffered minor injuries.Thursday — Lawrence P. Blakeley, 54, of Butler was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop shortly after midnight June 16 on Route 68 at New Castle Road. Police said they pulled over the suspect's pickup truck, which was traveling at a “noticeably slow speed,” after learning its registration was expired.Troopers suspected Blakeley was impaired by drugs and he later failed field sobriety tests, according to court documents. Following an examination by a drug-recognition expert, he was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.Toxicology results subsequently showed he had several drugs in his system, documents said, including marijuana, cocaine and the anti-anxiety medications nordiazepam.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Blakeley is charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and careless driving.

Grove City Police4:49 p.m. Saturday — A black Calvin Klein wallet was turned in to police after it was found at Hillview Elementary School playground. The wallet contained $6.The owner can claim the wallet at the station at 337 E. Pine St.Aug. 10 — An unknown thief between 3 and 7 a.m. stole a wallet from a vehicle at Trinity Living Center on Hillcrest Avenue. The wallet was later found behind the Church of the Nazarene on North Center Street. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.July 30 — A wallet was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 100 block of 107 Spruce Street. The theft happened between 1 and 6:50 a.m.

State Police, Butler4:27 a.m. Sunday — A 30-year-old Parker Township man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash at Bruin and Sand roads in Parlor Township.

State Police, Franklin12:54 p.m. Sunday — An Illinois woman was hurt when her car rolled over several times after the left rear tire blew out on Interstate 80 in Clinton Township, Venango County. Alekseyeva Yuliya, 26, of Chicago was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Police said she was wearing a seat belt.

State Police, Kittanning8:39 p.m. Monday — No injuries were reported in separate crashes on Route 28 north at exit 14 in Tarentum, Allegheny County. Police noted that a PennDOT maintenance crew at the time was working in the area to install reflectors in the northbound lanes.The first wreck happened when a vehicle driven by Jacob Tyler, no age given, rear-ended a car driven by Amanda Mientus, no age given, of Sarver.Moments later, a vehicle driven by Nathan Meanor, no age given, of Natrona Heights rear-ended a car driven by Tahlon Kirkland, no age given, of Sarver. That wreck forced Kirkland's car into the back of a vehicle driven by John W. Harrold, no age given of Ford City.Police said the crashes caused a traffic backup for about 90 minutes. East Deer police and Eureka firefighters assisted at the scene.
