Joseph B. Weber
Joseph B. Weber, 74, of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars and formerly of Rochester, New Sewickley Township, died this morning in the emergency room at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Born May 20, 1930, in Wexford, he was the son of Joseph and Anna Haefner Weber.
He was a retired auto mechanic for Sewickley Auto. He was a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars.
Mr. Weber served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Zelienople American Legion, the Cranberry V.F.W. and the Marine Veterans of Sewickley.
He recently played the role of the Cowardly Lion in St. John's production of the "Wizard of Oz."
He is survived by his wife, Jean Haddox Weber of Evans City, whom he married Dec. 17, 1994; a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Patricia) Rabideau of Standish, N.Y.; a son, Richard Weber of South Hills; two step-sons, Steve Stramella of New Brighton and Anthony Stramella of Groveland, Fla.; a sister, Frances Weaver of Mars; a brother, Edwin Weber of Mars; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a step-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Seich Weber, whom he married Oct. 2, 1954, and who died March 27, 1992; a son, Paul Weber; a brother, Norbert Weber; and a sister, Margaret Bonzer.
WEBER - Friends of Joseph B. Weber, who died Monday, July 26, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating. Burial will be in the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daughtery Township, Beaver County.Memorials may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, Monaca.
