BUTLER - Registration is now open for the six-week toddler story time program at Butler Area Public Library.

The program, open to children ages 24 to 36 months, will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings, beginning this Wednesday.

SAXONBURG - The Saxonburg Area Library, 240 W. Main St., will hold a summer reading program for children ages 5 through 8 beginning June 12.Activities and read-alouds will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on June 12 and 26, July 10 and 24 and August 7 and 14. Parents must stay on the library's premises during the program.Pre-registration is required. For information or registration, call the library at 724-352-4810.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP - The Comtra Theatre, Route 19, will hold auditions for the musical "The Wizard of Oz" from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.Participants should take a vocal selection to sing a cappella. There will be cold readings and a movement audition.Performances are Aug. 20 through Sept. 4. For information, call the box office at 724-773-9896.

ZELIENOPLE - The Zelienople-Harmony Area Chamber of Commerce will host an open membership meeting at 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the Kaufman House, 105 S. Main St.Seneca Valley School District superintendent Gerald Malecki and incoming superintendent Donald Tylinski will be the featured speakers.Cost is $6.50, and includes breakfast, tax and gratuity. FORD CITY - The Armstrong County School District will hold general education development testing from 6 to 10 p.m. June 14 and 15 at the Ford City Junior-Senior High School Library, Fourth Avenue and 11th Street.Participants must be 18 years of age or older or have a written request from an employer, school or armed forces recruiter.Photo identification must be presented at the test time.Cost for the test is $50, and registration is due by June 11. PITTSBURGH - The Three Rivers Adoption Council will present information about older child adoption at three meetings scheduled in Pittsburgh this month.Each session will begin at 7 p.m. Meetings are scheduled for Monday at the council office, 307 Fourth Ave., third floor; June 14 at the Monroeville Mall; and June 15 at Grace Lutheran Church in South Park.To register for a meeting or for information, contact Sue Zola at 412-471-8722.Notices, in writing, of festivals, fund-raising events, newly elected officers and other news from clubs and non-profit groups should be sent to the Focus department one week in advance of the event.
