'Charlotte's Web'

Theatreworks USA performers bring “Charlotte's Web” to six locations in January, including Seneca Valley Senior High School.

JACKSON TWP — “Charlotte’s Web,” a Pittsburgh premiere performed by Theatreworks USA and presented by Pittsburgh International Children’s Theater, will be staged at 2 p.m. Jan. 15 at Seneca Valley Senior High School.

Other performance locations include: Byham Theater at 2 p.m. Jan. 8; Gateway High School at 7 p.m. Jan. 11; Marshall Middle School at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12; Moon High School at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13; and Upper St. Clair High School at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 14.

The stage performance follows E.B. White’s classic story of a pig named Wilbur who is saved from the slaughterhouse by a gifted little spider named Charlotte. This treasured tale, featuring madcap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.

This 60-minute play is recommended for children 5 and older.

E.B. White’s classic story of friendship has been adapted for the stage and will be presented at six area locations, including Seneca Valley Senior High School.
