Serving as art consultant, Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts will feature commissioned artworks in the new patient tower at Butler Health System.

The public may attend the free opening event at 1 p.m. July 18 at One Hospital Way.

The theme of the collection was inspired by the Butler community and landscape.

The works include an installation piece, photographs, stitched collages, sculpture, paintings and fiberart.

Tickets for the Butler Summer Dramatics production of "Bye, Bye Birdie" are available at May's Music Shoppe, East Jefferson Street.General admission is $10 and premium seating is $12.The show dates are at 7:30 p.m. July 29, 30 and 31 and at 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

CRANBERRY TWP — A concert by the alternative rock band Bishop Clay at 7 p.m. July 8 will launch the township's free 2010 summer evening music season at the Rotary Amphitheatre of Cranberry Township Community Park.Starting at 4 p.m. July 10, Radio Disney will take the stage with music, games and more. At 8 p.m. that evening. the Nick Marzock Band will perform until the start of fireworks at 9:30. Both performances will be presented as part of the Cranberry Township Community Days celebration.
