Arrest warrant issued in DUI case

State police said a woman was more than four-and-a-half times the state's legal limit for alcohol when she was pulled over with her three children in a vehicle in Clay Township.

Lisa M. Tiche, 40, of Pittsburgh was charged last week in connection with the traffic stop around 8:10 p.m. June 19 after she failed to yield the right of way at Mahood Road and Route 308.

Trooper Noah Sims said Tiche appeared impaired when he got to her 2014 Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle. She handed him her car keys when he asked for her driver's license, according to charging documents.

She identified her three children, ages 6, 5 and 2, who were in rear seats in the vehicle.

The defendant showed impairment during field sobriety tests, police said, and she was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Toxicology results indicated she had a blood-alcohol level of 0.372 percent, documents said. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated. She also allegedly tested positive for a prescription medication.

Police on July 15 obtained an arrest warrant for Tiche on three felony counts of child endangerment. She is also charged with driving under the influence and DUI of a combination of alcohol and drugs, both misdemeanors, and a summary stop sign violation.

Online court records did not indicate if she has an attorney.
