Doris Namesnik

Doris Marie Namesnik, 90, of Butler, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Altenheim Senior Living in Strongsville, Ohio.

She was born March 12, 1931, in Butler County, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (McGregor) Ekis.

Doris graduated from the original West Sunbury High School.

She retired after 35 years of service at Penn Champ.

Doris was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed going out to lunch with friends and family, and helping with church dinners and bake sales.

Surviving are her son, Stephen J. (Angela) Namesnik of Brunswick, Ohio; her grandchildren, Chelsey Namesnik, Amanda (Brian) Alley, Nicholas (Erin) Dugan, Tiffany (Edward) Slaven and Charles (Daniella) Stefanski; her great-grandchildren, Krysten Mauthe, Arianna Namesnik, Landon and Savannah Slaven, and Cameron Stefanski; and her two sisters, Patricia Snyder of Butler, and Ruth Palmer of Grove City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Gary J. Namesnik and Dennis A. Namesnik; a granddaughter, Jennifer Mauthe; her brother and his wife; and two brothers-in-law.

NAMESNIK — Friends of Doris Marie Namesnik, who died Sunday, May 9, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Interment will be held in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
