Butler area Presbyterian churches will hold a community Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hill United Presbyterian Church. A joint choir will sing and communion will be served.

EAST BUTLER — East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph streets, will have an old-fashioned ice cream social beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Music by the quartet Four for Christ will be featured, as well as acongregational hymn sing.

Ice cream and toppings are provided, take a snack to share.
