Woman gets IP program for allowing Philly drug dealers to use home

A Butler woman was sentenced Wednesday to the county Intermediate Punishment Program after admitting to allowing a Philadelphia man to deal drugs out of her home.

Chelsey L. Schlagel, 23, was sentenced to 60 days in Butler County Prison and was immediately paroled. She also was ordered to complete four years in the county Intermediate Punishment Program, with the first nine months on house arrest with electronic monitoring, by Butler County Judge William Shaffer.

She was further ordered to pay court costs and complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and recommended treatment.

Schlagel pleaded guilty May 2 to felony conspiracy to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

The Butler County Drug Task Force filed the charges after an investigation into drug-related activity at her home in the 500 block of Fairground Hill Road involving two alleged drug dealers from Philadelphia
