U.S. House approves rules for impeachment inquiry
The U.S. House of Representatives voted 232-196 in favor of approving rules to guide the impeachment into President Donald Trump, according to published reports.
The vote was mostly along party lines, with 231 Democrats voting in favor of the resolution and two voting against it. A total of 194 Republicans voted against it and none voted for it, while the legislative body’s one Independent (Rep. Justin Amash) voted in favor of it.
Four House members did not vote.
