William A. “Bill” Carmack
William A. “Bill” Carmack joined his Savior in Heaven Wednesday.
Bill was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Pittsburgh, to Theodore A. Carmack Sr. and Marjorie E. Witz Carmack.
He moved to Lyndora in 1973.
Bill was a decorated Vietnam veteran, serving our country from September 1968 to September 1969.
He worked for the Minner Company until his retirement in 2017. He got a real kick out of working each holiday season for the U.S. Bulk Mail Center, trying to see that everyone's Christmas presents arrived on time and undamaged.
Bill was very active with the Cub Scouts and, over a 60-year tenure, served as both district and council cub activities chairman.
He was an avid hunter and bicycle rider.
Bill will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived by his brother, Theodore A. (Laura May) Carmack Jr.; his sister, Lynn Kent; his niece, Laura; his nephew, Doug; and two grandnieces.
